Our employment team advises on all aspects of the employment relationship, from the selection and interview of potential recruits through to the various issues that can arise during employment, up to and including its conclusion.  Our clients range from corporate entities to director/shareholders and other business owners.

We regularly provide advice on sensitive and complex issues for our clients including comprehensive advice in respect of employer restructuring and transfers of employees, workplace procedures and policies, redundancy programmes and performance or conduct.

 

We regularly appear in specialist tribunals on behalf of our clients and have particular expertise in dealing with urgent applications relating to employee/director/shareholder rights, restrictive covenants, confidentiality and trade secrets issues and the related protection of our clients’ business and reputations.

 

We also work closely with our corporate team, providing transaction related employment law advice on high value mergers and acquisitions.

 

Our lawyers have extensive experience including having :

 

  • Successfully prosecuted and also defended urgent court applications (injunctions ) in the employment law context;

  • Successfully defended employers in the Workplace Relations Commission;

  • Successfully defended employers in Health and Safety Prosecutions;

  • Advised on Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate  restructuring programmes;

  • Advised  shareholders in oppression proceedings.
